Reinspired Books, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) provides bookkeeping, accounting, advisory, and tax preparation services.

What We Collect

• Documents you send through our secure upload/e-signature channels.
• Basic technical data (standard logs/cookies) for security and site performance.

Please don’t include SSNs, full dates of birth, or bank/ID numbers in public website forms. We provide a separate encrypted process for sensitive items.

• To respond to inquiries, qualify and onboard engagements, schedule calls, and deliver requested services.
• To communicate next steps, manage your engagement, and maintain required records.
• To protect the service (anti-spam/bot measures) and to comply with legal/professional obligations.

Sharing

We share data only with third-party service providers that help operate our business (e.g., secure hosting, email, file storage, scheduling, e-signature, payment processing) and when required by law. These providers are required to protect your information and use it only under our instructions.

Storage & Security

We use reputable platforms with encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, role-based access, logging, and other safeguards designed to protect taxpayer data. Sensitive documents are collected only via our encrypted channels—not public forms.

Retention

• Leads/inquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized.
• Client tax/engagement records: typically 3 years (or longer if legally required or while an engagement is ongoing).

SMS / Mobile

Mobile numbers and text message data are not shared or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Children

Our services aren’t directed to children under 13. If dependent information is needed for tax preparation, we’ll request it only through secure channels.

Comments

When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form and the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. After approval, your profile picture is visible with your comment. See Gravatar’s policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Media

If you upload images, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may download and extract location data from images on the site.

Cookies

• If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies (convenience, ~1 year).
• When you visit the login page, we set a temporary cookie to check if your browser accepts cookies (discarded when you close your browser).
• On login, we set cookies to save login information and screen display choices (login cookies ~2 days; screen options ~1 year). Selecting “Remember Me” keeps login for ~2 weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
• If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie storing the post ID may be set (~1 day).

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. Otherwise, data is shared only as described in Sharing above.

How Long We Retain Your Data

• Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-ups automatically.
• Registered users (if any): we store the personal information in their profile; users can see, edit, or delete their information at any time (username cannot be changed). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data we hold and request deletion, subject to legal/administrative/security requirements.

Where We Send Your Data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
